What did we have wrong about PTSD?
This was one of my favorite questions from this interview and Dr. Hall’s answer speaks to the lessons learned through the last 20 years of war and how they are being applied through treatment.
June is mental health awareness month and what a great episode to bring this all important topic in the veteran community to the forefront of our lives.
You might be reading this and thinking, great another episode I don’t need because I got it figured out. I challenge that narrative and ask you do you feel whole? Like do you really feel like a whole person. If you answered no, then you are lying to yourself about what you can handle. The people around you know the truth, when are you going to wake up and see it. If that was a little to in your face, I am not sorry, this issue is hurting to many veterans to know speak the truth.
