Scott McCarthy is an officer in the Canadian Army and has been preparing for his transition through podcasting for the last ten years.  He took his lessons learned in Afghanistan and decided to dig deeper and see where it could take him.

He has prepared a business on what he has learned and is ready for when that day comes.  All while doing this he grew his connection to his wife, kids, and himself.

Does Memorial Day have a special meaning for you?

Today we are highlighting the 10 year anniversary of Carry The Load a non-profit organization with a focus on highlighting the stories of the veterans gave their life.

Stephen Holley, Carry The Load Co-Founder, President, and CEO. Stephen is a 2000 graduate of the United States Naval Academy.  He has five years of service as a SEAL officer at SEAL Team 5 and has completed four deployments to Iraq and Southeast Asia.  He currently resides in Dallas and contributes to many non-profits and community-based groups in addition to Carry The Load.

 Mark Elliott, Retired U.S. Army Colonel and Global Head of Military and Veterans Affairs at JPMorgan Chase. For the seventh consecutive year, JPMorgan Chase is the lead sponsor of the Carry The Load Memorial May Campaign. In his role, Mark oversees firm-wide, veteran-focused efforts in employment, entrepreneurship, education and workforce development, and community engagement.  Mark served in the Army for nearly three decades, including two deployments to Iraq.  Most recently Mark was Director of the Army’s Land Warfare Network at the Pentagon.  Mark has been with JPMorgan Chase since 2015.
